Glen Howard Found Dead In Room Here:

Glen Howard, about 48, county roads employee, was found dead yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock in his room at 505 South Tenth street, after suffering a fall down the basement steps in the residence yesterday morning. He had been dead three or four hours when he was found. County COroner J. C. Shannon said.

Shannon attributed the death to a probable heart attack. Only a slight cut was found on the man's head.

Howard had rented a room in the basement of the Dudley Buhal home for the last year and a half. Mrs. Buhal related that he returned home shortly before 8 o'clock yesterday morning as she was preparing to leave for work. He fell down the flight of eight steps leading to his room, she said, and when she attempted to rouse him he grumbled. She left for work, thinking that he would be alright.

When the Buhals returned home last evening they found Howard dead. He had gone to the other side of his room it was reported and was lying on the floor. The room is located at the foot of the stairs.

Police and sheriff's officers were notified immediately and the county coroner was called.

Howard had been a resident of this vicinity since about 1900, Mrs. Buhal said. He had been employed on the county road work for the last six months, prior to which he had worked for a construction company at Buford. He also had driven trucks for contractors in Laramie for a number of years.

As far as could be determined last night the deceased is survived by five children, two of whom are in Cheyenne, one in Nebraska and two in Laramie. He was divorced a few years ago from the former Mildred Treadway. Mrs. Howard later married John Smith of Laramie. She succumbed here last February.
