They supplemented their farm income by working at the Kentucky State Hospital. Nellie worked there for 30 years, Edward for 27 years.
Nellie was a loving wife and mother. She loved to sing and play the guitar that her husband had given her. She was a faithful church member where she often sang specials. She loved the Lord and spent many hours reading her Bible.
