He was a native and lifelong resident of Melrose. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of Eliam Baptist Church in Melrose.
He is survived by two daughters, Louise Baker of Keystone Heights, Ida Mae Riggio of Melrose; sister, Naomi Roundtree of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Eliam Cemetery in Melrose with the Rev. Jimmy Coyle officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the Jones Funeral Home in Keystone Heights. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 26 Jun 1992.)
