TOWN OF OMRO- Percy M. Sattergren, age 74, of the Town of Omro, died early Saturday morning, May 29, 1999 at Omro Care Center, Omro, Wi. He was born April 3, 1925 in Barron, WI the son of Arthur and Gladys (Davidson) Sattergren. In his early years he had a passion for horses and the rodeo. He worked harvesting sugar beets in Nebraska, tending sheep in South Dakota, and one of his favorite places was in Virginia where he enjoyed his many visits to the ocean. He married Mary Beth Morgan in October of 1960 in Pine City, MN and they made their home in La Crosse, Wi, Holmen, Wi, Montana, and in 1962 moved to the Oshkosh area. He was employed with Green Giant of Ripon, Wi, then with American Excelsior of Oshkosh, until they closed and then worked for Pickett Canning Company until retiring in 1987. His wife preceded him in death on February 18, 1996. He was a member of the Elo Methodist Church.

He is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Cliff Christenson of Chippewa Falls, WI, Carol and Harley Barfknecht, and Maxine and Jim Williams al of Rice Lake, WI, his mother Gladys Sattergren of Barron, WI, four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Along with his father and wife, he was also preceded in death by one son William Sattergren and one sister, Marcia Williams.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at 1:00 PM at Mueller Funeral home, Winneconne, WI, with Rev. Nelson Craig officiating.

Burial will be in the Minckler Cemetery, Town of Omro, WI.

Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of services.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at the Omro Care Center for all of their love and kindness they extended to Percy during these past three months.
