Marilyn Page (Vick) Rinaca, 84, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at her home in Shenandoah after a long illness.

Marilyn was born on Sept. 4, 1927, in Bertie County, N.C.; the daughter of the late Joseph William and Ruby Kate (Dixon) Vick.

Married in 1943, Marilyn moved to Shenandoah with her husband Gerald when he returned from World War II. There they remained and enjoyed 69 years of marriage.

In her many years as an active member of Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, Marilyn served in countless church activities and organizations. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Gerald Sylvan Rinaca; brother, Lemuel "Dink" Vick and wife, Nancy; children, Joseph Gerald Rinaca and wife, Jane, Robert Sylvan Rinaca and wife, Nancy, and Pamela Page (Rinaca) Rodgers; grandchildren, Jennifer Paige (Rinaca) Hudgins and husband, Brad, Katherine Rinaca Porterfield, Benjamin Joseph Rinaca, Jeremy Robert Rinaca, Danielle Lynn Robertson, Robin Celeste (Robertson) Cubbage and husband H.L., Jason Lee Cubbage, and Cassandra Paige Cubbage; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at the Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Shenandoah on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Briehl officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Shenandoah.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, 413 Central Ave., Shenandoah, VA 22849.
