Sleepy John Estes was a blues guitarist and singer who recorded on the Victor, Decca and Bluebird labels between 1929 and 1941 plus two songs at the Sun Studio in 1952. Rediscovered in 1962 but blind, he resumed recording and performing until his death.∼Bluesman who played briefly for SUN Records in Memphis, TN


Inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1991
