~Thomas Glenn "Glenn" West~

Glenn West, 70, died June 26, 1973, in Henderson County, NC.

A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late William and Hulda Knight West, and a member of Oakley Baptist Church. He retired from Sayles-Biltmore Bleacheries in 1969 after 29 years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Lelia Mae Stafford West; the step-mother, Martha West; two sons, Calvin and Joe West; four daughters, Lucille Inman, Pauline Holt, Dorothy Phillips, and Jean West; three brothers, Floyd T., William and Wayne West; four sisters, Mrs. W.M. Fox, Mrs. Atley Reeces, Mrs. Annie Shepherd and Mrs. Mary Johnson; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Penland and Sons Funeral Home on June 28. Burial was in Morning Star Church Cemetery, Canton, NC.
