The 1910 Federal Census for Spruce, Missouri (Bate County) shows Veda Hendrickson, age 8, born in Missouri; living with her father, Felix C. Hendrickson, a farmer, age 56, born in Kentucky; and her mother, Beulah, age 39, born in Kentucky. Also living in the household were Veda's siblings: Charley R., age 16, a farm laborer; Kih, age 15, a farm laborer; Albert F., age 11; Leta, age 6; and Roy, age 8 months; all born in Missouri.

Sometime before 1926, Veda married Leroy Warner. The 1940 Federal Census for Harrisonville, Missouri (Cass County) shows Leroy Warner, a building carpenter, age 38, born in Missouri; and his wife, Veda M., a saleslady in retail clothing, age 37, born in Missouri. Also living in the household were their two children, Gerald Warner, age 13; born in Missouri; and Leroy Warner Jr., age 8, born in Missouri.

The 1950 City Directory for Independence, Missouri (Jackson County) shows Veda M. and her husband, Leroy Warner, a carpenter, living at 1416 South Pearl. Their son, Leroy Warner Jr. lives at the same address but work at the meat county in the Safeway Store.

At some point, Veda married Kenneth C. Moffett who was born March 1, 1902 in Polo, Missouri (Caldwell County). Kenneth died December 20, 1987 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (Oklahoma County) and was buried there in Rose Hill Burial Park. Veda died August 19, 1993 in Oklahoma City and was buried beside her husband.

Veda Myrtle Moffett, 91, of Oklahoma City, passed away August 19, 1993. She was born June 8, 1902, in Ballard, Missouri, to Felix Cromwell Hendrickson and Beulah Mary Farris. Veda was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for more than 50 years.

She is survived by a son, Gerald Warner of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Mark Warner of Oklahoma City; Diane Collins and Debbie Harrington of Kansas City; five great-grandchildren; sister, Leta Hooper of Butler, Missouri. Veda was preceded in death by her youngest son, Leroy Warner, Jr. in 1964. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 23, 1993, 3:00 p.m., at Rose Hill Burial Park. Hahn-Cook/Street and Draper.
