Robert Allan McQuilkin, 80 years, passed away June 11, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born February 9, 1930, was a life resident of Akron and obtained his Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Akron. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from General Tire & Rubber Company as their Raw Material Manager. He was the #312 person to join Oak Hill Presbyterian Church on March 26, 1939 and continued his worship over 60 years where he served as Elder, Sunday School Teacher and was a member of the Evergreens. Bob was a member of Adoniram Joppa Lodge #517 F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Akron, Cuyahoga Falls American Legion Post #281, the American Chemical Society, Boy Scouts, and Eagle Scouts. He was also a member of Phi Kappa Tau, Alpha Chi Epsilon and was a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Summit County.

Preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Joseph; and brother, Joseph McQuilkin Jr. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Aileen Kellard ''Peg' McQuilkin; daughters, Susan Lyn McQuilkin (Dale Collmer), Beth Ellen (Jerry) Martin; grandchildren, Lindsey, Kaylor and Michael.
