Glen Allen Day, eldest son of Eugene Byrd Day and Susie Whitson, was born in Alabama on November 23, 1903. He had one older and five younger siblings. He married Ruth Randle Felts in about 1932 and they had a son, George Allen Day, born in 1933.

As a very young boy, Glen’s family moved from Alabama to Texas. In 1910, they lived in Hall County, located in the Texas Panhandle, and by 1920 they lived in nearby Shamrock, Texas. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Oklahoma City.

Early in his career, Glen worked as a salesman in the retail mill goods industry. Later, he was a principal owner of the Donaldson-Day Company (Food Brokerage). Glen died in Oklahoma in January 1980.
