Delmar Martin Warne was b. Feb. 16, 1911, the son of Samuel Martin (b. Feb. 14, 1870, d. Feb, 22, 1949) and Mary Jane (Wilson) Warne Warne (b. Sept. 7, 1873, d. May 1, 1964). He was the eldest child of their union. He had a younger sister, Wanda Eunice (Warne) Wilkins Holdren, b. July 22, 1913. He also had an older half-sister, Eva Hope (Warne) Carpenter, b. Sept. 7, 1873, to his mother and his mother's first husband, Richard L. Warne. Delmar Martin Warne mar. Genevie Buchanan (b. Mar. 12, 1913 [gravestone inscribed 1914]), Dec. 5, 1934, in Wheeling, W. Va. They had one son (b. 1938), one daughter (b. 1941), and at least three grandchildren.
