Death of Miss Ella Buzzard

Miss Ella Buzzard, bookkeeper and cashier in the city waterworks office, died at 3:30 yesterday afternoon at the Bloomington hospital as a result of the secondary shock following an abdominal operation for the removal of a tumor. The operation was performed Wednesday and death ensued twenty four hours afterward.

Miss Buzzard rallied nicely from the operation and chatted cheerfully with the nurses and physicians afterwards and apparently had every chance to make a complete recovery. She was seized with a sudden sinking spell in the afternoon and immediately passed away. Miss Buzzard was 33 years old and was born in Ellettsville. She was the daughter of the late John Buzzard, an old soldier who lived on Atwater Avenue and who died several years ago. The widow and one sister, Mrs. Permilda Stimpson survive.

Miss Buzzard was a member of the Methodist church.

Funeral at the residence north College Avenue Sunday at 2:30 in charge of Dr. J.W. Jones and interment at Rose Hill cemetery.
