Lillie Mae Davis, 83, passed away June 27, 2000, in Chesapeake.
Born in South Norfolk, Va., Miss Davis was the daughter of the late William Frank Davis and Myrtle Blanche Temple Davis. She was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church in Chesapeake. She was employed for eight years at Burrow Martin Drug Store, 15 years at L. Snyders Department Store in the credit department, and after 20 years of service, she retired from the credit department of Smith and Welton's Department Store.

Miss Davis is survived by a sister, Catherine Davis Lane and her husband, Judge Lane, of Charlotte, N.C.; nieces and nephews, Barbara Bisese, Linda Lane, Brenda Lane, Lee ''Bubba'' Watkins, Fetzer Williams, Donald Lane and Chris Lane, Betty Jean Smith, Paula Harrell and Frank Harrell; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Bertie Davis Williams and Etta Harrell.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Riverside Memorial Park by the Rev. Amos Eby.
