She was born July 19, 1928 in West Stockbridge, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Merci Libardi. Edie attended schools in West Stockbridge and had worked at several companies over the years including the former Coat Factory in Pittsfield, General Electric Company and Elise Farrar's.
She loved animals, especially the birds which she fed and cared for with care and faithfulness. Edie also loved her home and took great pride in her flowers and Shrubbery.
She had many close friends and will be sorely missed by those who loved her.
She was the wife of Joseph J. Wrzesinski whom she married in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on May 21, 1960; he died September 11, 1996.
She is survived by her three beloved sisters, Mary L. Renak and her husband, Tom, of Dalton, Rose Lucy Libardi of North Adams, and Theresa Durant of Pittsfield. She is also survived by her close niece, Tina Gratton, and her husband, Lance, and her close nephew, Michael Shea, and several additional nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Julia Shea, Emma Tukey and Mary Libardi and by her brother, decorated US Army war veteran Joseph Libardi who died in Sicily during World War II.
Funeral Services for Edith "Edie" Libardi Wrzesinski will be held on Monday at 8:00 a.m. from the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Mark's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Geoffrey Deeker, CSS.
Burial will follow in the family plot at Saint Joseph's Cemetery.
