Daisy Irene Riner, 100, of Inwood, passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, at Care Haven Center.

Born Sept. 18, 1916, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Robert Taylor and Mary Alice Minnick Elwood.

She was employed as a seamstress for 26 years at the Perfection Garment Company. Daisy was a member for 84 years of Butler’s Chapel.

She is survived by three daughters, Elsie M. DeHaven, of Glengary, Mary F. Bayer and husband, Charles, of Hedgesville, and Linda K. Mongold and husband, Gary, of Inwood; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two step- great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Elwood.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin C. Riner; a grandson, Tony Miller; one great-grandson, Trevor Bayer; two brothers, Clifford Elwood and John Mertz; and two sisters, Bessie L. Riner and Nellie E. Riner; and son in-law, Paul DeHaven.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with the Rev. Dr. Forrest Cummings officiating. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
