William Wesley Craig died at his home on South Main Street at 9:50 Tuesday morning, after several weeks' illness. Born in Friendship, Crockett County, September 29, 1869, he graduated from the Academic department of Vanderbilt in 1895 and received his diploma from the Vanderbilt Law School in 1897. He began the practice of law in Alamo in the Fall of 1897, comming to Ripley in 1903, opening his own law office. His services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Methodist Church, with Dr. Loyal O. Hartman, the Rev. W. L. Drake and the Rev. James Irion, of Bells, officiating. Burial in charge of Garner's Ripley Funeral Home was in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley
