Deanna D. Johnson, 69 of Sun City West, AZ and formerly of Burbank, CA passed away with her family by her side. Deanna was born on March 14, 1941 in Benkelman, NE to Dewey and Annie Gerdes. She will be forever loved and missed by all that knew her, to Deanna a stranger was only a friend she had not yet met. Deanna was a Reservation Supervisor for 42 years and later a Recruiter for Northwest Airlines until retiring in 2006. She loved traveling and had been all over the world. She was a member of Stitches from the Heart and was an accomplished seamstress. Deanna is survived by her loving daughter, Cara (Reynaldo) Cruz of Burbank, CA; two very dear grandchildren, Jacob Cruz and Kayla Cruz; her beloved companion Ernest C. Davidson, Jr. of Sun City West; one sister Neala (Bill) Carmichael of St. Francis, KS; two brothers Orlie Gerdes of Kennewick, WA and Glenard Gerdes of Labe Oswego, OR. Deanna is preceded in death by a sister Iris Worthington and a brother Ellis Gerdes. In Deanna's memory, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society
