Robert J. Greene, 91, Sarasota, FL, formerly of Delavan, died June 7, 2010, at his home in Sarasota. He was born in Chicago on April 4, 1919, son of Joseph and Elsie (Bosenbecker) Greene. Bob graduated from Lane Tech High School in 1936. He married Alice Kelly in 1942, and she preceded him in death. He was employed at Borgs Indak in Delavan for many years until his retirement in 1981. He was an avid golfer, woodworker, and had a passion for oil painting. He is survived by his two daughters-in-law, Carol Greene of Sarasota, FL, and Jean Greene of Janesville, WI; four grandchildren: Jack (Amy Capelle) Greene of Janesville, Denise (Craig) Spry of Janesville, Will Greene of Sarasota, and Kevin (Amanda) Greene of Sarasota; six great-grandchildren: Steven and Adam Greene, Evan and Madison Spry, all of Janesville, Ella and Lily Greene of Sarasota; a sister, Doris Wooden of Northbrook, IL; and one niece, Cherie. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Alice; and his two sons, Robert Jr. and James. A special thanks to Kevin, his grandson, for all your gracious help.
