Word was received in this city yesterday of the death of George Trumbo, who died in Osceola, Wis., at the age of 72 years. The deceased was born in Sangamon county six miles south of this city, in November 1832, and was a resident of this state until he was fifty years old, when he went to Wisconsin to live.
Mr. Trumbo is survived by his wife, one daughter, Miss Estel Franks, and three sons, Eugene, Arthur and Ernest Trumbo; one brother, Henry Trumbo, of Loami, and one sister, Mrs. James Card, of Almeda, Kas.
The remains will be brought to this city over the C & A today and will be taken to the Trumbo farm, six miles south of the city, where funeral services will be conducted. The interment will be made in Trumbo cemetery.
