Born in Canada in 1867. Her parents were James C. Hodgson and Sophia Wiggins Hodgson. She lived in Kansas, Leadville, Colorado from about 1879 to 1885. She married Oliver F. Thomas in 1885 in Pitkin Co. Colorado and had about 11 children with four surviving daughters. One died at age 19. The remaining three daughters lived to old age.
