Mrs. Hazel Nash Cruce, age 80, of Madison, GA formerly of the Five Forks Community entered into rest on June 1, 2010 surrounded by her devoted family. She was preceded in death in November of 2002 by her loving husband of 51 years, Claud Ray Cruce. She is survived by four children, Sandra & Butch Satterfield of Bishop, GA, Ray Cruce, Mark & Becky Cruce, Donna & Allen Bishop all of Madison, GA; seven grandchildren, Glenn & Michelle Crider of Decatur, GA; Gary & Leslie Crider of Lawrenceville, GA; Ryan, Trey, and Alayna Bishop; Grace & Clay Cruce all of Madison, GA; Brother & Sister-in-law, Dennis & Evelyn Nash of Loganville, GA; sisters-in-law, Annie Lou Nash of Lilburn, GA; Barbara Nash of Loganville, GA; Florence Cruce of Stone Mountain, GA; Mary Cruce of Suches, GA; Martha Cruce of Monticello, GA; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Billy & Betty Cruce of Atlanta, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Mrs. Cruce was born on March 25, 1930 in Lilburn, GA to Mamie Holland Nash and Claude Eugene Nash. She graduated from the old Snellville High School and worked for several years at the old Sears, Roebuck and Co. on Ponce de Leon in Atlanta, GA before becoming a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Cruce, a lifelong resident of the Five Forks Community, was committed to keeping the character in tack of the old historic buildings. She was a wonderful care-giver to her family members and many friends by taking them to doctor appointments, the grocery store and any where they needed to go, she was there for them. She was dedicated to the Friendship Cemetery Fund and also would take care of the Five Forks Flower Fund. Even though her final days were in Madison, GA, her heart was always with the people in the Five Forks Community. The Service Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Cruce will be held Friday, June 4, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Rev. Jeff Nash officiating. Interment Friendship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Cruce's caregivers, Hollie Leahman and Linda Terrell, and also to Southern Care Hospice, Athens, GA.
