Grew up in Brooklyn, New York. Moved to Laporte, Indiana in the early 50s. Served in the US Air Force Reserves and a brief period of active duty. He attended Aviation Cadet flight school with the USAF. Later, he was stationed at Andrews AFB in Maryland as a medic where he met and married Virginia Ruth Horner on November 27, 1965 in Washington, DC. Lived in Baltimore, Maryland and Centerville, Virginia. Joined the US Secret Service and protected Ronald Reagan, Lyndon Johnson, and Richard Nixon. Graduated with a BA in History, with a minor in French from The Catholic University of America. Moved to Saint Simons Island, GA to work at FLETC from 1975 until retirement from the US Treasury Department. He died in 1993 and left wife Virginia, sons George (born 1966) and James (born 1969), two sisters Kathy and Bonnie, and one brother Paul.
