Walter Kimble Succumbs After Lingering Illness
Had Been Confined to His Bed for Ten Months – Resident of Michigantown
After a lingering illness with lung trouble, Walter Kimble, a well known resident of Michigantown succumbs to the ailment Wednesday evening at 9:30 o'clock. The disease was contracted by Mr. Kimble while working in a factory at Kokomo, and he had been fined to his bed for ten months. For the last few weeks his condition had been such that his death was expected at any time.
The deceased was born in Clinton county and was thirty-five year of age. He was the son of Amos and Elizabeth Kimble. The greater part of his life was spent in this county where he was reared. Several years ago he moved from Michigantown where he had been engaged as a farmhand to Kokomo, and was employed in one of the factories at that place. After working there for some time his health began to fail him and he moved back to Michigantown. Besides a wife there is left to mourn his loss, his mother, who resides at Kokomo and two children, Otto and Esther at home; two brothers, Willis Kimble of South Dakota, and Lafayette Kimble of Joliet, and a sister, Mrs. _____ White_____ of Kokomo.
We was a member of the United Brethren church and the Red M___ lodge at Kokomo.
The funeral services were conducted from the Christian church at Michigantown Friday morning at ___ o'clock. Rev. Jesse Whitecotton, Kokomo, officiated and the interment took place in the Hope____ cemetery, three miles northwest of Michigantown.
