James L. Wright of Lafayette died on July 24, 2007 at Danville IL-V.A. hospital.

He lived in the Lafayette area for 35 years. James also lived in Danville IL.

He was born on November 28, 1942 in East Canton, OH to the late Harley and Garnet Sands Wright. He married Beverly Voils on August 24, 1984 in Lafayette and she survives. He was a laborer for Irvin Concrete for 33 years until retirement. James served in the Army. He enjoyed yard work and watching NASCAR races.

Surviving along with his wife is a son Jeff Wright of 4 daughters Sheri (husband Robert) Stevens both of Danville IL. Carol Johnson and Tina Deel and Connie Williams all of Russell Springs KY. 5 sisters Violet Johnson of Danville IL. Charlotte (husband Kenneth) Finley of Andelusia IL. Joan Womble, Bonnie Brockman, Janet (husband Wayne) Crider, Charles (wife Vicky) Wright all of Lafayette. Jack Wright of New Philly OH., Larry (wife Wanda) Wright of New Philly OH.

Friends may call 1 hour prior to the 10:30am Friday Service (in bold) at Hippensteel Chapel with Rev. Terry Sullivan officiating.

Interment to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
