* Mrs. Tine Holland is among the oldest readers of the Canton Enterprise. And her name was the first name to be sent in by friends as one of the oldest residents of this area.
She Celebrated her 84th Birthday last August 19th, and is quite active for one her age.

Mrs. Holland was born and reared on a farm in Pigeon Township where she worked hard and helped make a good living for her and her husband. She has been quite active i church and Sunday school and gave liberally to the First Baptist Church in Canton and to the Spring Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cordelia Hastletine Holland, known to her friends as "Aunt Tine" was born on August 19, 1856. In 1886 she married William Judson Holland who was the last remaining child of Samuel Holland (who had been killed in the Civil War and is buried in a Confederate Cemetery in Dinwiddle Virginia). Judson had an sister, Zenoba Holland who had died at age 8.

Mrs Holland has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Canton since Childhood.

Funeral Services were held at 2pm Friday afternoon at the First Baptist Church of Canton with the Rev. H.K. Mosteller officiating. He will be assisted by the REv. Thomas Erwin and the REv. Gay Chambers. Burial will be at Locust Field Holland Pharr Cemetery. Palbearers will be Cleophus Blazer, William Wilson, Glenn Griffen, Judson Henson, R.B. Mease, & Isiah Williams. There are no surviving immediate family members of Mr. or Mrs. Holland.
