FAYETTEVILLE - Erik L. Alder-Hensley, 38, known as "Odie" to his friends and family, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Norma Alder. He is survived by a stepdaughter, Ashley Ellis, and son, Branden Alder, of Dunn; sisters, Athyea Green of Four Oaks, Dianne and Brianna Heaton of Grand Junction, Colo., and Lisa Simmons of Fayetteville; brothers, Jason Alder of Fayetteville and Aaron Heaton of Grand Junction; and a large extended family and many friends whose lives he touched. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, in Riverview Memorial Gardens in Spring Lake. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight, Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory in Spring Lake.
