Daniel V. Davila, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at his Home. Service: 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart Of Mary Church, 100 E. Pafford St., Fort Worth. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 p.m. Thursday, with rosary at 7 p.m. in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Daniel was born May 19, 1935, in Gonzales to Atilano and Lucia Davila. He was the one of four children. He married Esperanza Ortiz on June 16, 1952, in Corpus Christi. He resided in Fort Worth for 33 years and was employed by the city of Fort Worth as a supervisor. Daniel was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. He enjoyed outside activities, and traveling with his family. He was preceded in death by a daughters, Wilma Ann Montemayor, Mary Jane Galindo; and brother, David Davila. Survivors: Daniel will be remembered by his loving wife; their children, Diana Davila, Danny Davila Jr., Patrick Fontecchio, Joe Michael Davila, Mary Davila, Elaine Ortiz, Steve Ortiz, Joann Flores, David Flores, Mark Davila and Valerie Davila, Michael Gonzales, Darlene Diaz and A. Daniel Ortega; sister, Dora Benavides; brother, Desi Davila; 30 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
