Note: Family Bible records give her name as Esther May. However, we also have the name as Esta Mae.
A slight slurring of Esther does produce Esta. It is possible that relatives misunderstood the name when the mother gave the information to them many years later.
There was a relative named Esta Conyers, it is possible she was named after this relative. The death certificate has her name as "Esta".

I received the following information from Find A Grave member Mary Louise Reynolds (52551033).
"There is a death certificate for this child on Ancestry.com. Granted, it is but poorly legible, but appears to read:
Esta M. Conyer and gives a death date of 21 Aug 1908 and the cause of death is Cholera infantum. The parents' names are given as Lewis Conyer and Emma Hiatt. Esta's age at death is given as 1 y 6 (?)m and 26 days. Due to the poor quality of the writing, it isn't clear if there is an "s" at the end of Conyers or not."

I have temporarily accepted this date of death until it can be verified at the Delaware County, IN, Health Department.

There is no death record in Delaware County, IN. The County clerk said the record that appears on Ancestry.com is taken from the Indiana State Health Office record book for Delaware County. Whoever reported the death did not get the information to the County Health Department until after a designated deadline for reporting such. Therefore, the data was forwarded to the State office without being recorded at the County level.
=======================

Birth was announced in the Muncie Morning Star, Tuesday, February 26, 1907. Residence of parents listed as 2714 South Liberty Street. This would have been in the town of Whitely, a suburb community of Muncie but now within the city.

Died when a toddler. Her mother once said Esta died at age of three, which would place the year of death as 1910. Another time she said death was at three months, and at one time said one of her daughters died at 1 year. No record of Esta's death or an obituary has been located at the present time. She is buried on the parents plot and is in the same grave as sibling, Cecil Garnett. According to cemetery records Esta is buried at one end of the grave - the west end and closest to her parents stone. Her sister, Cecil is in the other end of the grave (the east end). Cemetery records do not list a name, only the word "child" Conyers, for Esta. The grave would be above that of her mother. There is no tombstone as of May 2013. The only stone on the lot is that of the parents. Source of this child's name is from the mother and siblings (her brothers).
