Raymond Weigand, aged 78 years, passed away May 3, 1974 in Barberton Citizens Hospital after a long illness.

A Barberton resident the past 52 years, he was born Oct. 31, 1895 in Sandyville, Ohio, a son of the late John and Emma Rieger Weigand.

Mr. Weigand was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Chruch, the Holy Name Society, Barberton American Legion Post and VFW and he was an Army veteran of World War I.

He worked at PPG in the boiler room 17 years and was retired 14.

Surviving is his wife, Margaret (nee May); daughters, Mrs. Rosemary Krasovic, Mrs. Martha Ann Zagar and Mrs. Betty Melton, all of Barberton and Mrs. Mildred Borisek of Akron; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry and Sylvester both of Akron, Herman of Barberton and Claude of Randolph; sisters, Mrs. Theresa Myers, Akron, Mrs. Agnes Kline, Mogadore, Mrs. Marie Winkler, Rootstown and Mrs. Frances Pierce of Mogadore.
