Mary Agnes "Sis" Aldis, 88, of Cuero, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010. She was born Aug. 4, 1921 in Cuero to the late Johnnie P. Harryman and Katherine J. Fuchs Harryman. She was married to the late Ira L. Aldis on Jan. 16, 1943 in Little Rock, Ark. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time with her family, farming and ranching.

She was survived by daughters, May Pearl and Mary H. "Pete" Aldis, both of Cuero, and Wanda "Kathy" Lacina of Gonzales; son, Bernard L. Aldis of Cuero; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Ellen Goldman; brothers, Paul E. Harryman, Alfred E. "Jack" Harryman, Johnnie Harryman, John B. Harryman, and an infant brother.

Visitation will be today, April 7, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero. The funeral will be Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero, with the Rev. John F. Mueller and Deacon Tony Warzecha officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero.

Pallbearers will be Walter Aldis, Allen Aldis, Joshua Aldis, Joe Aldis, Terry Harryman, Wayne Rose, Randy Cole, and Joel Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Harryman, Randy Harryman, Dennis Aldis, Mike St. Clair, granddaughters, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to the donor's choice.
