Wesley L. Ninman of Buena Vista, Colo., and former resident of El Reno, passed away on Nov. 3, 2009. He was born in Union City on Nov. 10, 1921. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Edwin and Mary Hassler Ninman; his brothers, Elmer, Howard and Golden Ninman; and his wife, Pauline C. Ninman. Wesley served in the U.S. Navy as a pharmacist's mate during World War II in Morocco, Africa. He was the manager of the Jim E. Smith Grain Company in El Reno for 17 years, then worked for the state of Oklahoma as a grain elevator inspector, before becoming owner of the Cheyenne Mill and Elevator. He retired and sold his business in 1983 and moved back to El Reno. In 1986 he moved to Buena Vista. A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. May 8 in the El Reno Cemetery.
