Deceased Name: EBERSTEIN
, Mr. Irvine Robert (Irv) - Of Vassar and Millington areas, passed away at his Vassar residence on Saturday, February 3, 2007. Irv was 66. Irvine Robert Eberstein was born in Ortonville, MI on June 24, 1940, and was the son of Robert L. and Letha (Wright) Eberstein. Irv was preceded in death by both his parents. On September 25, 1998 Irv married. They celebrated eight years of marriage. For 30 years Irv spent his career as a truck driver, retiring in December of 2002 from the Balk Matic Transit Company. Irv loved spending time with friends and family especially his granddaughter who was the apple of Grandpa's eye. He also had a love for horses. Irv loved raising them, training and racing his babies as he referred to them at area tracks. He loved swimming and being outdoors, collecting Coca Cola memorabilia. He loved the times he has had in the past restoring cars, and loved watching his favorite NASCAR team race and win. Even though Irv left suddenly, he leaves many memories that will be cherished by his family, extended family and many friends for ever. Irv leaves: his wife; daughter and son-in-law; granddaughter; sister and brother-in-law and their family; father-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law and their wives. His extended family. As well as several other nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends. Friends may call at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Tuesday where the family will receive friends from 1PM until 8PM. Funeral service will be held at the Hanlin Funeral Home at 1PM on Wednesday February 7, 2007. Burial will follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery.
