ASA HOLT, PIONEER OF COUNTY, IS DEAD
Asa Holt, 75 or 80 years of age, well known as one of the last of the Shelby County pioneers, died last Wednesday night at the home of his son-in-law, B. F. Smith, at Martinsville, Nacogdoches county.
Mr. Holt was apparently in good health Wednesday, but dropped dead of heart failure late Wednesday evening. Up to three or four weeks ago Mr. Holt had lived in Shelby county, at his home about six miles from Center on the Nacogdoches highway.
He is survived by his wife and a number of children in this and surrounding counties.
