Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 10, for Dora Adams, wife of Ortie Adams, of Barnetts Creek, who passed away Sunday, July 8, in a Lexington hospital following an extended illness. A member of the United Baptist church, she was born April 11, 1915, the daughter of Columbus and Hattie Frazier Wright who also survive. Additional survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Alice Faye Crace of Lexington and Mrs. Harold VanHoose, Mrs. Paul Williams, Mrs. Scott Lafferty, and Mrs. Edd Caudill, all of Barnetts Creek, and three sons, Wayne Adams, Danny Adams, and Ricky Adams, all of Barnetts Creek, and five grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Irene Dotson of Prestonsburg and two brothers, Austin Wright of Troy, OH and Dewey Wright of Lansing, MI.

Revs Wayne Blair, Adam Marshall and Oscar Prater officiated at the 1 p.m. services in the United Baptist Church at Barnetts Creek with burial following in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville. Arrangements were under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
