John Robert Lafayett "Bob" Clifton,83,passed away April 14 1946 he was the son of the late Robert Wesley and Mary Malinda Wade Clifton.

He did farming, carpentry and saw-mill work. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife--Joanah Penelope Webb Viers Clifton.

One daughter--Edna B. Clifton.

One son--Robert Walter Clifton.

Four brothers--William Opechancanough "Chink" Clifton--Peregrine White Clifton--David Isaac Clifton and Thomas Steptoe Clifton.

Three sisters--Alcey Ann Clifton Wade Byrd--Sarah Luizy Clifton Jenkins and Rosa Lee Clifton.

Survivors are--one son--Luther Ellis Clifton.

Three daughters--Annie Lee Clifton Keen--Myrtle Penelope Clifton Delong and Stella May Clifton Ward.

One brother--King Andrew Clifton.

Two sisters--Mary Jane Clifton Meadows and Martha Ellen Clifton Joyce.

Burial will be in the Tom Ward Cemetery at Keen Mtn. Virginia.
