John Boring Hangs Himself With A Rope Early This Morning.
Considerable excitement was caused at Bethel this morning when the news was circulated that John Boring had taken his life. He got up about 5 o'clock this morning, started a fire in the kitchen stove and then went out to the wood shed as was his custom, to split wood. After a short time his wife arose, prepared the morning meal and went to the wood shed to call her husband in to breakfast. Upon opening the door she was shocked when she beheld her husband's lifeless body hanging to a rafter in the shed. He had procured a rope with which he committed the horrible deed.

Boring was a day laborer, poor but honest and had worried of late over the fact that he was unable to meet his financial obligations. This is supposed to be the cause of his rash act. He was 55 years of age. He is survived by a widow and four children, one son and three daughters. His home was near the C. G. & P. station in Bethel Ohio.
