Ada is the daughter of John Bartow Davis and Abi J. Bozeman. She was the eldest of 5 known children of John and Abi.

She and Hiram Hurst had 13 children:

After she was widowed, she was living with one of her daughters in Jacksonville FL, which is where she died.

As of January 2015, we have been unable to locate the burials of her parents, which we assume are in either Webster or Calhoun Cos. Her grandfather Rev. Elisha Davis and his second wife are buried in Webster Co. (Memorial #105673733.)
