Paratrooper From Casper Is Casualty

Sp-4 Charles Wayne Reberg, 20, of Casper, was fatally wounded in action in Vietnam on April 21 while on patrol duty with the 101st Airborne Division, according to information released Thursday by the Army.

Reberg died of wounds received when hit by hostile small arms fire. He had been in Vietnam since Dec. 1, 1967.

A 1966 graduate of Natrona County High School, Reberg enlisted in the Army in October of 1966, and took his basic training at Fort Bliss, Tex. He later received paratrooper training at Fort Bragg, NC, and Fort Campbell, Ky.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Reberg of 1712 South Oak, he was an avid sports fan interested in wrestling, skiing, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his parents; a brother, Michael Reberg of Seattle; and a sister, Mrs. Frank Sanders, of Farmington, N.M.

Funeral services are pending.
