Geana Elizabeth Case Worley, 87, of 3001 St. Augustine Place, Asheville, died Friday, September 11, 2009.

Mrs. Worley was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Grover and Metta Fairchild Case. In 1940, she was voted as the prettiest girl at Biltmore High School. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a member of Kenilworth Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Lt. Col. Frank M. Worley (USAF, Ret.); two daughters, Judith Taylor and her husband, David, of Asheville and Donna Fountain and her husband, Jay, of Portland, OR; two sons, Frank M. Worley, Jr. of Asheville and Russell Worley of Seattle, WA; a special niece, Barbara Ann Emmick of Austin, TX; nine grandchildren and 6 (plus one "on the way") great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Kenilworth Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Allen Smith officiating. Private interment will be at Lewis Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
