On his WWII draft registration he stated that he was born in Shippensburg but he did not specify the county.

Oliver had a daughter, Grace Viola (Hippensteel) Shover. Grace's mother was Dessie Keller (later Dessie Clouser). When Dessie married Charles Clouser in 1907 the marriage ap stated that neither Charles or her were married before so her and Oliver must have not married even though they had a child together.
