JAMES MICHAEL JACKSON, 57, of Yoder, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
Born Oct. 11, 1948, in Fort Wayne, he was a Vietnam Army Veteran and was discharged in 1971. He was an Operating Engineer with Local 103, and was previously employed by Brooks Construction, Diester Corp. and Graves Trucking. His hobbies included welding and wood working. "He was a beloved father and grandfather and he will be missed by all." Surviving are his mother, Johanna Jackson of Fort Wayne; son, Michael A. (Deanna) Jackson of Yoder; daughter, Brandi (Nicholas) Young of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, BreAnna and Dalton Jackson, both of Yoder; and a sister, Shirley Bay of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Lee) Jackson; and father, Cecil Jackson. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery, with Military graveside honors by the U.S. Army. Preferred memorials to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
