The accident occurred about 8:25 p.m. in the 6000 block of South Narragansett Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines.
Kelly Ryan, 12, of 6140 W. 64th Pl. was pronounced dead at 11:03 p.m. Sunday at at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The boy was riding a bicycle southbound on Narragansett Avenue when a Ford F-250 pickup that was northbound on Narragansett struck him as the boy was entering the street in the crosswalk, according to Gaines.
The pickup struck him when it was making a right turn onto eastbound 60th Street, according to Gaines.
The motorist, Keith Kostush, 48, of the 6000 block of South Mobile Avenue, was cited with yielding right of way on a right turn and negligent driving, according to Gaines.
