Entered into rest at the Ottawa Ciivic Hospital on February 19, 2007 in his 83rd year. Husband of the late Elizabeth VanGalen and the late Elizabeth Hewes. Dear father of Karen VanDroffelaar of Montreal and Tom VanDroffelaar (Janine) of R.R. 1 Addison. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jill McNulty (Scott), Corina and Mark VanDroffelaar (Christine). Also survived by a great grandson Aidan. Step father of Jane Henry, Sally, Robert and Larry Hewes.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East on Saturday from 1 pm until 3 pm when funeral services will be held in the Chapel. Cremation will follow at Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. Interment will be at Oakland Columbarium at a later date. In memoriams to the Canadian Diabetes Association will be gratefully appreciated.
