On July 31st God saw fit to send the heavenly Angel into the Halifax Regional Hospital to select one of his flowers, Mr. William Lincoln (Shorty) Woody. Life for William began November 7, 1922 in Roxboro, NC. He was the son of the late Robert and Ethel Woody. He was educated in the Person County Public Schools. At an early age he joined Prospect Hill Baptist Church. He was united in holy matrimony to Reathiae Cole Woody. He is survived and held in loving memory by his wife; three daughters, Bernice Woody, Sarah White and Evelyn Faulkner; two sons, Samuel and Bobby; three brothers, Richard, Mark and Matthew; two sisters, Rivers Barnett and Gladys Wilson; two sisters-in-law Rosa and Emma Woody; one brother-in-law, Henry Wilson; one son-in-law, Charlie Faulkner; two daughters-in-law, Cynthia and Stella Woody; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
