Mrs. Beck was a graduate of Sacred Heart College, which later merged with Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina. She was a member of Belmont Abbey College Alumni Board & elected to the Belmont Hall of Fame in 2005. Mrs. Beck was a dedicated member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 57 years. During these years she held many different offices including the offices of Past Unit President, District President and Department President of the State of Georgia. She was a member of the La Societe de Femme for 24 years. She was a member of the Business Professional Women's Organization for a number of years. Mrs. Beck attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Ruth Scholl, her husband, Wilber E. Beck and an infant daughter, Denise Annette Beck.
