APPALACHIA, Va. —
Roy Joseph Thompson, 57, died Wednesday (Nov. 24, 1999) at St. Mary's Hospital in Norton.
He lived most of his life in Wise County and was a construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Henry and Ella Nunley Thompson.
Surviving are
one son Christiansburg,
three sons all of Appalachia, Va.;
two daughters,
one of Christiansburg,
one of Appalachia;
sister, (name kept private) in Radford;
three grandchildren.
Calling hours are from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Gilliam Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap, Va.
Services will be conducted at noon Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Don Estridge officiating.
Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery in Big Stone Gap.
Pallbearers and friends will serve as pallbearers.
