Longtime resident, farmer and small business man. Luke had 2 sons and 10 grandchildren. He arrived in Noble,Oklahoma Territory several years before statehood. Luke enlisted in the U.S. Army and was scheduled to report to boot camp on November 11, 1918, the day the war ended. He was released and paid $1.00 for his service. Luke married Ora Pulliam and they raised 2 boys in Goldsby, OK and decided to "move to town" so the boys could get their High School Education in Purcell. Both boys served in the U.S. military and made successful careers. Luke and Ora always made their home welcome to visitors and especially the grand children who visited as often as circumstance would allow. Luke and Ora lived for the remainder of their lives in Purcell.
