Florian Gerber a native of Germany came into open Court on the 28th day of August 1854 and on his solemn oath declares that it was bona vide his intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce forever all allegiance to any foreign prince potentate State or Sovereignty and particularly to the King of Baden whose subject he has heretofore been.

In 1880 is in Carrollton TWP,Boone, Arkansas with two more children Agnes 9 and Franklin 4 both born in Missouri, was listed as a farmer.

In 1888 Jan 23 put in for a pension from the war App. 636917 Cer. 638712 ARK.

In 1900 census he is still in Carrollton TWP, Boone Co. close to a town named Francis that was west and north of the town of Harrison. wife Mary,said to have five children with four living at this time 1900, James L, who was divorced, Joesphine, was single, William F. was a widower, Ernest, a grandson, Cassie, granddau, Ethel L., granddau.

In 1910 census still in same place, a widower, with Joesphine, single, Frank, widower, Ernest, Gson, Cassie, Gdau, Ethel, Gdau. wife Mary death on 16 May 1904.

In 1920 census He is living with his son, Frank in the town of Mulberry, Crawford, Arkansas on fourth street. living with them is Ethel L. dau of Frank, James L. Frank's brother and a border. According to a family member Florian also had a brother, Lazerus, who was 10 years younger & came to US 10 years after him. No further info other than that. He had a sister, Johanna, and another brother, F Anton, who both remained in Germany.

He died on 26 May 1924 and is buried at the National Cemetery in Ft. Smith, Sebasttian, Arkansas
