U.S. Veteran Mr. Charles Edward Roadcap, 82, of Ashburn, Virginia, passed away, Saturday, April 10, 2010, at his home.
Charles was born in Grottoes, Virginia on December 29, 1927, and was a son of the late Charlie K. and Josie (Frazier) Roadcap.
He retired from the U.S. Government in Washington, DC, where he worked as an Electronic Tech.
He was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Vienna, VA.
Charles was united in marriage November 3, 1984, to Elizabeth Marie (Miller) Grubb Roadcap who survives.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a sister, Ersie Moore of Sunnyside Nursing Home, Harrisonburg, VA
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 13, 2009, at the Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Grottoes, VA with Rev. Steve Proctor officiating. Burial will follow in the Port Republic Mutual Cemetery, Port Republic, VA.
Memorial contributions may be given to The Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church 2351 Hunter Mill Rd. Vienna, VA 22181-3005.
The family will receive friends at the Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Grottoes from 1-2 PM Tuesday prior to the service.
