Mr. Earl Davis Owen, 87, of Biloxi, MS died Tuesday, May 4, 2004 in Biloxi. Mr. Owen was born November 19, 1917 in Memphis, TN. Mr. Owen was a veteran of World War II. He served in the United States Air Force from November, 1940 to February, 1963. He then worked with the Navy Department at Ingalls Shipbuilding from March, 1963 until his retirement in June, 1983. Mr. Owen continued working at Biloxi Par 3 from 1983 until 1992.
Mr. Owen was preceded in death by his parents, William Owen and William and Pauline Morris, and brothers Ernest Owen and Sims Owen. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Audrey Holliman Owen, daughter Patricia McGuire and husband Bob, son Earl "Buzzy" Owen and wife Merry, grandchildren Bobby Jones, Stacy Thunelius, Stephanie Mitchell, Carey Owen, Courtney Dowdy, and 3 great-grandchildren. Services will be Friday, May 7, 2004, 10:00 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, Biloxi, MS, where friends may call two hours prior to service time. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
